Jacob's senior proofs...

A friend of mine who does photography did a great job with Jacob's senior proofs. I have over 60, but didn't obviously want to put them all on the blog, so I chose some of my favorites. This is tough because I like so many and Jacob wants to have more taken when the weather warms up. I can't believe the time is approaching and all too fast! As of now he is scheduled to graduate June 3rd. Hopefully they won't change the date on us. Graduating from high school is such a special time in life. I know I've mentioned this before but Jacob will be attending a college (we have tons around here) close to home and plans to pursue a physical therapy degree. We are so excited for him and what God has in store. Ken and I have been privileged to have Jacob in our lives. He has truly turned out to be a great young man with strong morals and direction. I am thankful for all the memories thus far and look forward to many more! We love you and are very proud of you, Jacob!

 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 

Going to Regionals...

 

Caleb Does It Again

This past Saturday, Caleb competed in the Summit County Spelling Bee with 40+ other students and finished 4th. The top five spellers will move on to the Regional Spelling Bee on March 13. We are so proud of Caleb and his great composure handling the pressure of spelling words we struggle to pronounce!! We'll keep you posted on his progress and the results. Way to go Caleb!

Meanwhile, Seth's team began the playoffs on Saturday and won their first game to advance to the quarter-finals. Seth played terrific and has really developed into a great basketball player. Later in the day, they played their 2nd game against the #2 team and everyone assumed we would get killed. Seth came out in the first quarter and scored 10 points to give the team a quick lead that they never lost. Next Saturday we face the # 1 team in the Semi-finals. It's been fun watching them improve so much from the beginning of the year.

Spelling Bee Champ!!

Caleb has had an exciting year! His school had a spelling bee and he won first place! We got to attend and let me tell you, I was a nervous wreck for all those who participated. He will go to the next level in a couple weeks for our county. We are so very proud of his effort and hard work. He also just finished up with his basketball season, and his team won the finals in their tournament. What a way to end 8th grade! To top that off, Caleb received straight A's on his report card. He has truly balanced his life well for being only 13 years old. We love you, Caleb! Keep up the great work!
