As many of you know, Ken had surgery back in August last year. He wasn't able to work out which is something he absolutely loves to do. It's a hobby for him! As you can see he has made up for lost time. I wanted to share his results with all my bloggers:) Hee!!

We had a nice day celebrating Caleb's Birthday. Wow, he's a teenager now:) I can't believe he only has one year left in junior high and then he'll be off to high school...Time is ticking:(...Caleb really loves Harry Potter books. He wanted to go see the latest "Harry Potter the Half Blood Prince," so we all went to see that together. I have to admit I have gotten into them as well. The movies are great! I made him a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cake for his B-day. He has been addicted to peanut butter for as long as I can remember. We are so proud of him and the great young man he's become. We love you, Caleb!!

Happy Birthday!!
This weekend we celebrated Ken and Jacob's birthdays. Ken turned 40!! His folks say that turning 40 isn't so bad, it's when your youngest child turns 40:)...He still looks HOT to me:)...Ken's folks called from New Hampshire and wanted me to put something on the big screen at church for Ken and of course I was all for it:) He was quite surprised as he got up to teach and all of the sudden the Beatles "Happy Birthday" song started playing and he looked behind him and saw our sign...Hee, I love getting one over him:) Along with celebrating Ken's birthday, we are also celebrating Jacob turning 17 and just saying that makes me cry:(...It's so hard to let them go and grow up sometimes. I've been dealing with this in a major way lately. I know it's part of growing up and letting them go and become independent, but he's my first, so it's new for me. It's such a learning process for us all indeed!! We had a fun weekend full of activities and just being together, which is something we can never get enough of...
Ken wanted something a little healthier, so I made him a low calorie/fat/sugar trifle. Yummy!
Jacob absolutely loves anything to do with cookie dough, so I made him this cake and added some chocolate chip cookie dough accents to top it off. After eating this one we'll be doing a little extra workout at the gym...ha!!

Sparkler Fun:)
The Fourth of July is always a busy time at our house because we are also celebrating birthdays. We were too pooped to go to a fireworks show this year, so we decided late Saturday to go pick up some sparklers and let the boys go outside and play around with those. Many of the neighbors were out doing fireworks so we got to enjoy that as well.
