Well, these are pics of our newly remodeled living room. We pulled up our carpet and refinished the hard wood floors underneath. What a job that was, but well worth it. I absolutely love how they turned out. While we were at it, we painted and got some new furniture pieces as well as some accessories. I love doing things like this and could do it all the time, but Ken doesn't want to make it his other full time job..hee! He did a great job on the floors. That is my favorite thing in the whole room. The money we saved not getting new carpet we put toward some furniture and accessories. I love our new room!

Memorial Day Parade!
Seth and I got the chance to walk in our Memorial Day parade this year. He plays baseball for the Parks and Recreation Dept. of our city, so his team got to participate in the parade. He loves anything that involves others watching him:)...It actually turned out to be a nice day even though we were supposed to get rain. We enjoyed the day off and played around the yard, and of course had an ice cream break. I can't seem to get enough of that this time of year...:)

Congratulations, Jacob!
Well, Jacob did it again. I am so proud of him. He was recognized again this year for maintaining a 3.5 or higher grade point average. They have a ceremony every year and here are some pics of him receiving his award. I wish the middle school did things like this. Caleb made all A's as well and so did Seth. I am so proud of them all and their hard work. They are the best boys a mom and dad could ask for...

Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Ken and I went out alone Friday evening and Saturday he cooked an italian dinner for me. It was awesome! The boys treated me to a lunch out and icecream...yum! The whole weekend was so nice. Just when I wonder why I am the only female in the house, I began to see I wouldn't want it any other way:)...being the only female can have its privileges:) I am definitely blessed!
