This year we had the opportunity to spend 2 weeks at the beach. It was nice to get away and relax with the beauty of God's creation...the beach! We did a variety of activities such as enjoying the water, riding the waves, sunbathing, evening walks along the beach, building sandcastles, playing goofy golf, catching some fish, finding great seashells, riding a Banana Boat, eating some great seafood, not to mention lots of icecream, souvenir shopping, and one day of shopping (this was the only rainy day and we put our ponchos on and headed for Barefoot Landing...an outdoor shopping plaza.) Needless to say, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable time away with the family.

Here are some still shots of all of us. I plan to get some of these framed. Our family loves the beach so much that it seems like our home away from home...

Riding the Waves!
Here is a day the waves were amazing. Pictures don't really do it justice. The boys had a blast riding them..oh, and Ken too of course:)

Banana Boat Ride!
Ken and the boys decided to take a ride on the Banana Boat. The driver typically takes you out in the ocean a little further and tips you out of the boat. He looked back at Ken for approval, but Ken shook his head no. Seth was a little scared that he might get eaten by a shark. Jacob and Caleb want to do it again next year with their cousins and plan to get tipped out. They had a blast seeing it was their first time on a Banana Boat ride.

Sandcastle Mania!
Every year we go to the beach we love to build some cool sandcastles. Ken did most of the digging, and Caleb and I did the molding of each shape. Caleb and I love art so it was fun to create a variety of animals and shapes.

Putt-Putt Adventure!
We had the chance to play putt-putt several times. The Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas has some of the best goofy golf in the country. Ken managed to beat us all every time we played. We like to make him feel good about himself so we didn't mind helping him out:)
