All three of the boys are playing basketball this year. Jacob will start this week, so I will have pics soon of him and his team. Caleb plays on 2 teams. He made the sixth grade all-star team which was exciting! This will be a great way for him to learn more than just your basic skills. Seth is playing as well with Ken as his coach. Ken is also coaching Jacob's team this year. Wow! I find it amazing trying to keep up with it all, but I know they'll be grown up before I know it, so Ken and I will enjoy it while we can.

Happy Birthday Seth!
Wow, what a week this has been. Seth, our youngest, turned 8! I can't believe it. We had a great day. Not only was dad off from work, but Jacob and Caleb didn't have school, so we had the whole day to celebrate! We took Seth to our Mexican hot spot, and opened presents and ate cake when we got home. Believe it or not I made the cake. It was quite a process, but I love making them versus buying them. Saturday we continued to celebrate by taking Seth to see a movie, followed by an all you can eat pizza dinner at Cici's. He is a huge baseball fan, particularly the Boston Red Sox team. I wonder where he gets that from:) He loved his gifts seeing as most of them were baseball related. He is growing up too fast, but we are enjoying every minute of it.
The Cross Country Race!
Caleb and Seth had the opportunity to race with a local community team in a cross country race. They did great! With dad running along side of them, they really kept their heads in the game. We are so proud of their hard work. The M&M's really tasted good afterwards!:)

Summer is almost over!
Well, as you all know, I have not been keeping my blog up too well lately...we have been super busy! With school starting and our boys being so active, that has just left me little time...this is an exciting time in their lives. Jacob is in 10th grade and has been taking an after school weightlifting class, along with drill assessments for the high school basketball team. We are proud of his hard work. Caleb, 6th grade, and Seth, 2nd grade, have been participating in cross country and are just loving it! I love to see them active! Ken and I try our best to keep up, but our age shows from time to time. I do want everyone to know that I will be taking some special pics of the boys real soon, and I will be putting them on the blog as well, so stay tuned:)

Our camping adventure!
We had the chance to get some camping in before the summer is completely over...we unfortunately do not live in the south anymore:) Yes, we actually slept in tents and everything. Ken has taught the boys how to chop wood and start a good camp fire. We enjoyed the many trails to hike, the pool, the playground, you name it! The evening was nice and cool, just right for a campfire, so you know what that means...SMORES! We had a great time, and I have realized that I am a little more daring with camping than I was years ago...I suppose when you are outnumbered by boys you don't have much choice;) It was a great time to just have fun with no distractions. Can't wait to do it again!
